Responsibilities
Tasks
- Analyze market research data to improve business decisions or activities
- Assist in product development
- Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products or services
- Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
- Develop communication strategies
- Direct the development and maintenance of an organization’s Internet and intranet sites
- Direct the marketing strategies of establishments
- Direct the production of educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter
- Evaluate the marketing strategies used by establishments
- Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for fundraising or information purposes
- Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
- Manage contracts
- Market business services
- Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs
- Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations
- Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations
- Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services
- Act as spokesperson for an organization
- Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies
- Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material
- Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions
- Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys
- Initiate and maintain contact with the media
- Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions
- Maintain and manage digital database
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
- Gather, research and prepare communications material
